Sandakan wildlife safari ( 4 days/3nights)

Arrival by air to Sandakan. 45 minutes boat-transfer to Selingan island and check into chalets. Afternoon off to explore the island. After dinner the ranger comes and fetches us in small groups to see the green sea turtle lay her eggs on the beach. We then get to see how the eggs are moved to the hatchery and finally we are there when the newly hatched turtles are released on the beach to find their way out to the seas. Lunch and dinner included.
Return to Sandakan for a visit to the water-village and the Australian war memorial. After that we go around 2 hours by boat to Sukau Rainforest Lodge. We travel along Kinabatangan, the longest river in Sabah with its amazing wildlife. In the afternoon we take another cruise along the river. This time with an experienced wildlife guide to accompany us. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Cruise down the river at dawn for any who feels up for it. After the cruise we continue to Oxbow lake for a jungle-trek and a forestry project. A cruise in the afternoon, and the possibility of a night-cruise are offered after dinner. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Breakfast and a boat ride to Sukau village for a short tour of the village. After that we continue to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation centre, where we, after 10 minutes trek through the jungle, have a chance to see the orang utans up close. Transfer back to Sandakan for return flight to Kota Kinabalu.
